DANCER FIT: dancing fitness back into your life |
Fun and new ways to look at fitness, health, sweating, and in all, having a good time. Living every day as if its your first. Being a dangercat and finding the mind lemonade and visual caffeine you need to stay on track, get inspired, be motivated and get your mojo in full swing! |
So this week has been a bit hectic, and I havent been able to keep up posting as much as I would have liked due to the fact that my computer CRASHED!!! It is done, finito, caput…and to be quite honest, even though it blows, I was really tempting it’s demise as it has been slowly but surely dying on me for the past 2 years.
SOOO, Im using a friends computer until I get a new one :-p
Luckily, work is something that will help me be able to buy a new computer. Oh money, honey! Need that paper to get what ya want! I am leaving town for the weekend for work, and got to thinking about ways in which I would be able to keep up an exercise regime throughout the crazy work schedule Ill be working with a long with staying in a hotel room and sharing with a couple other people.

Sometimes traveling, although great, can stress even the most seasoned traveller, and get us out of our groove that we have worked hard to get into in the first place! So here are some ideas for the lot of us, who travel for work, or who just want to have options between plane rides, long drives and everything else in between that can put a funk in your training program.
Equipment Ideas:
- Skipping Rope
I love a jump rope because not only are they easy to pack, but they are great when you stop for gas and want to get in a quick 2-minute burst of cardio.
- Elastic Bands
Elastics are great because not only are they practically non-existent in your over-packed suitcase (they take up zero room) and easy to bring on as a carry-on, they are an easy solution to get in some weight training with resistance which will efficiently suffice for the heavy weights that are too heavy and bulky to bring.
- Portable weighted Hula-Hoop
Wanting to work out that core quickly and get in a quick elevation for your heart rate? Grab a weighted hula-hoop. Super easy to detach and put together, this little baby is a great piece of equipment to pack if you have the room and want a little extra oomph in your traveling workouts.
- Pilates Magic Cirlce
A must-have for any pilates enthusiast, or just for those of us who want to work our arms, abs, inner thighs and overall core. (Isn’t that everyone??) Bring this resistance circle with you and use its convenient resistance to target and tone your body in standing or lying down exercises.
