DANCER FIT: dancing fitness back into your life |
Fun and new ways to look at fitness, health, sweating, and in all, having a good time. Living every day as if its your first. Being a dangercat and finding the mind lemonade and visual caffeine you need to stay on track, get inspired, be motivated and get your mojo in full swing! |
For all of you who have made it this far in the year, congratulations!
Maybe its your first year in Uni, maybe its your last year taking courses abroad, either way, February can be a tough and long-drawn month. I know Im feeling it!
On that note, as the reading weeks commence (some have already started) one thing that will for sure be taking place are festive get-togethers that will start early in the evening and continue long into the eve of the next. Im sure of it, but hey, you deserve a bit of a break! What we dont need though, is to get completely burned out from staying up way too late and fall off the deep end of what consists a well balanced nutrition plan, so here are some awesome ideas of what you can do when the fun went on just a little later than 2am.

+ Pain-killers: Do not take Tylenol, or anything with Acetophenone [ mixing alcohol with this ruins the liver ], use Ibuprofen [ think Advil ] instead. P.S. that does notmean popping one each time you drink, use it sparingly.
+ Post-drinking: When you wake up, honey sandwiches are known to help with hangovers. I eat one piece of Oasis 8 carb toast with organic honey. It’s amazing. Oh, & stop justifying greasy food- it does not help. Mineral water with sodium does wonders too.
+ Hydrate: Tea, wheatgrass, Kombucha, green drinks, coconut water- drink up.
+ Exercise: I know, this is hard. If you can attempt it, shoot for later in the day. Think the elliptical.
+ No saunas: Do not go into a sauna; it makes you sweat- which dehydrates the body even more
+ Sleep: heals all- your body recovers with shut-eye. Sunglasses help too!
